My work is concerned with the question of what it is to be human - to be alive - and with the transient, fleeting nature of things and experiences. I am interested in the role that individual and collective memory has to play in shaping the present moment, and in the continuous exchange between inner and outer landscapes, seeing the two as deeply connected, fluid, interdependent things; similarly, I am drawn to the simultaneous conflict and harmony between opposites: stillness and motion, text and image, simplicity and complexity, sound and silence, the natural and built environments. I see my work as inhabiting a grey area where nothing is certain, but everything is possible. My practice currently focuses on writing, photography and bookworks - for more details, see my portfolio.
